Hand-colored etching showing Elisa Garnerin (1791-1853) parachuting from a balloon. She is standing in a basket under a parachute, while the hot air balloon that carried her aloft is shown in the upper left quardrant. This may be a representation of a flight from Paris on September 17, 1815, celebrating the allied victory over Napoleon, with the King of Prussia in attendance.
