Colored mezzotint of the rescue of Sir Richard MacGuire after his balloon descended into the sea off the coast of Ireland on May 12, 1785. Image shows MacGuire being pulled into a boat. Balloon can be seen in the background on the right side of the image. Reverse is lined.
'Published as the Act directs, June 4th 1787, by Thos. Milton No. 40 Great Queen Street Lincolns Inn Fields London, and by J. James Barralet, in Dublin. W. Ward sculpt.'
