This spacesuit was worn by Alan Bean during the Apollo 12 mission in which he was the Lunar Module Pilot. The mission was the second of the lunar landing missions, and landed two men on the Moon on November 19, 1969.
The spacesuit was made by the International Latex Corporation, with the designation A-7L, and was constructed in the EV configuration. When combined with the portable life support system and other components making up the extravehicular mobility unit, it weighed approximately 180 pounds here on Earth.
Transferred to the National Air and Space Museum from NASA in 1971.
