This is one of seven propeller artifacts donated by the U.S. Army that powered airships between 1919 and 1925. It was used on Renault V-12 engines for French Zodiac airships during World War I. Zodiacs were purchased from the French Government following the war, and flown at the Langley Air Station in 1920.
