The Red Service Ribbon of the CAP keeps track of its recipient’s service record. It is awarded after two years of service as either a cadet or senior member. After three additional years, a bronze clasp is added, and then at five year intervals. At 20 years, the longevity device is added, the bronze clasps are removed. The longevity device is updated every five years.
