This is the 3.5-in. Antitank Rocket, or Modern Bazooka rocket. It weighs nine pounds loaded, with two pounds of payload, and has a range of 0.25 miles against tanks. It is basically an enlarged Bazooka with new propellant and other features.

The original Bazooka was one of the most famous U.S. weapons of World War II. Like its forebear, the 3.5-in. version is fired from a light-weight tube-type launcher carried on the back of one infantryman. The Bazooka was so-named after a musical instrument of a comedian of World War II, Bob Burns. This object was transferred to the Smithsonian from the National Armed Foces Museum Advisory Board.
