This is a Czech made flying rocket model, the Astra. The manufacturer is unknown. The model has a Kraft paper body, balsa fins, plastic nose and a paper parachute. A solid propellant rocket motor propels the model, and then at the end of the vertical flight it forces the release of the parachute. The model is then retrieved and can be used again. G. Harry Stine donated this model in 1973.
