This is an unassembled Hawk flying rocket model. Made by an unknown manufacturer, the body is pasetboard, the fins and nosecone are balsa, and the parachute is plastic. The motor is not included. At the end of powered flight, the parachute deploys and the model returns to Earth, enabling its reuse.
G. Harry Stine, a pioneer in the field of flying rocket models, donated this artifact to the museum in 1973.
