The Seedart is one of a family of low-cost sounding rockets designed and manufactured by Colspan Environmental Systems, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado, in the 1960s and early 1970s. This two-stage, solid fuel rocket is one of the smallest sounding rockets ever built. It was used for low-altitude meteorological research.
Colspan Environmental Systems, Inc. transferred this to the Museum in 1973.
This object is on display in James S. McDonnell Space Hangar at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA.
