Physical Description Colored lithograph of Santos Dumont flying the monoplane "La Demoiselle," which was built by Clement Bayard, over a field with a stream. A portrait of Dumont in profile at the controls of the aircraft is seen in the bottom left corner of the image. Ernest Montaut (1879-1909) produced maritime, motor sport, and aeronautical prints. It is assumed that later prints in his style, such as this one, were produced by his wife Marguerite--'GAMY' being anagram for 'Magy.' 'Mabileau & Co. Paris. 09. Copyright.'
