This Savoiia-Marchetti propeller is from one of the Isotta-Fraschini Asso 656 kW (880 hp) engines that powered Savoiia-Marchetti S.55.X seaplanes in the mass formation flight of twenty four aircraft led by General Italo Balbo from Rome, Italy to Chicago, Illinois and return, July 1- August 12, 1933.
This object is not on display at the National Air and Space Museum. It is either on loan or in storage.
