This sight ring, manufactured by J.A. Maurer, Inc. for use with their 70mm cameras, is an optical aiming device used to correct for light rays that interfere with the use lenses. This sight ring was made for cameras used in the Gemini program, but was never used on an actual mission.

NASA transferred this sight ring to the Museum in 1971.
