This stamp celebrates the flight on Yuri Gagarin on board the Vostok spacecraft on April 12, 1961. The image shows a red, stylized Vostok flying over the Moscow Kremlin. This is one of the first three stamps that the Soviet Union issued to commemorate Gagarin's flight.
The Soviet military attaché donated this item to the museum.
