This is a stand for a model of unknown scale of the Condor, a U.S. Navy air-launched anti-ship missile. Developed by Rockwell beginning in 1962, the missile had a maximum speed of Mach 2.9, a range of 68 miles, and a 630 lb conventional warhead. Although the Condor was tested extensively, the program was cancelled and the missiles were never deployed with the fleet.
The stand's manufacturer is unknown. John and Cynthia Heyde donated the model and stand to the museum.
This object is not on display at the National Air and Space Museum. It is either on loan or in storage.
