This is a stand for a model of unknown scale of a ramjet powered vehicle designated the M44, The model was made by the Lewis Research Center of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), one of NASA's facilities that conducted research and development on ramjets for use for use in supersonic aircraft. There is no information available on the history of the M44. The Lewis Research Center made the model and stand and transferred them to NASM in 1966.
