Small stopwatch-timers are useful for timing experiment operations and crew activities or other purposes during a Shuttle mission. Several of these devices may be used aboard the vehicle during a typical mission. This stopwatch-timer was used by John Glenn and other crew members on STS-95 in 1998, a mission focused on astronomy, materials science, and biomedical research. NASA gave it to the Museum after the mission.
