This is a Vent Plenum Assembly (VPA) for the Space Suit Assembly Extravehicular Mobility Unit (SSA/EMU) that is the current U.S. spacesuit for performing spacewalks from the International Space Station. The VPA is a component of the Liquid Cooling and Ventilation Garment (LCVG) that circulates cool water and fresh air inside the EMU. The VPA is a flexible system that returns ventilation gases from the arms and legs. This one was used extensively for astronaut training and shows evidence of damage from use.
