A View of the Balloon of Mr. Sadler's. This Balloon Ascended with Mr. Sadler and Captain Paget of the Royal Navy from the Mermaid Gardens at Hackney in Middlesex at three O'clock on monday afternoon August the 12th 1811 and descended in a field near Tilbury Fort in Essex at twenty minutes past four O'clock.

Physical Description
Uncolored etching of Sadler and Captain Paget ascending from the Mermaid Gardens on August 12, 1811. An excited crowd is watching from the ground, trees, and nearby buildings. Letters on the balloon and passengers correspond to the key at the bottom of the page and identify the parts of the balloon and the passengers. Reverse is lined for stabilization.
