Physical Description
Hand-colored etching of Charles and Robert's balloon flight from the Garden of the Tuilleries on December 1, 1783. Scene shows a very large crowd gathered in the gardens with the balloon aloft. A small map charting the paths of the first three balloons flown from Paris (August, November, and December 1783) is below the scene. Around the map is a description of the event in French.
