This thin, lightweight video camera was used on the STS-127 shuttle mission to the International Space Station in 2009. It can be plugged into a laptop computer via a USB connection and demonstrates the ability of NASA to use commercially available equipment for spaceflight. With this camera, astronauts could have video conferences via conventional means with people back on Earth, including their families. The small lens can be manipulated to achieve the best viewing angle for framing themselves.

NASA transferred this camera to the Smithsonian in 2010.
