This is a model of a ramjet powered vehicle made by the Lewis Research Center of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The Lewis Research Center was one of NASA's facilities that conducted research and development on ramjets for use for use in supersonic aircraft. Ramjets were actually used in several aircraft and missiles. The Lewis Research Center transferred this model to NASM in 1966.
