This G4-C pressure suit was made for and worn by astronaut Eugene Cernan, pilot of the Gemini 9 mission in June, 1966. The suit has had the protective cover-layer removed, and shows the restraint covering of Link-Net.. The cover layer was designed with legs of Chromel-R, a woven stainless steel fabric, to provide an additional layer of protection during testing of the AMU (Astronaut Maneuvering Unit).

The suit was in the EV or Extra-Vehicular configuration, and consisted of five major assemblies, the main torso, helmet, boots gloves and neck seal. Additionally, he wore a constant wear garment and life vest assembly. The suit permitted freedom of movement, and was equipped with communication and bio-medical transmission equipment.

Transferred from NASA in 1968.
