October 29, 2020 | 1:00pm
Presented Online

It’s spooky season! Do you have your Halloween costume ready? In this special Halloween-themed Air and Space Live Chat, learn all about science fiction props and costumes in Star Wars, Star Trek, and other space science fiction. We will be joined by:

  • Madlyn Burkert, a collections and exhibitions archivist at Lucasfilm
  • Oscar-winning visual effects artist Doug Drexler who has worked on many productions including Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Enterprise
  • Dr. Margaret Weitekamp, who curates the Museum's social and cultural history of spaceflight collection.

Join this live chat to ask all of your questions about sci-fi props and costumes! You can tune in to the webcast on this page or watch on Facebook Live on the National Air and Space Museum Facebook page.

This live chat is part of the Museum’s Air & Scare at Home program. Air & Scare at Home is made possible by the generous support of Mars Wrigley Confectionery US LLC.
