Chemistry Day
Celebrate National Chemistry Week with a day of “out-of-this-world” programming.
The event will feature remarks by:
Allison Campbell, ACS Immediate Past President

K. Renee Horton, speaker on diversity and inclusion in the sciences

Bassam Shakhashiri, renowned demonstrator and advocate for science education at all levels
1:00 pm
Participate in hands-on activities lead by members and staff of ACS to learn first-hand about the importance of chemistry. Activities include Build a Battery, Chemistry is Colorful, Chemistry Makes Scents, Sublimation Bubbles, Rocket Reactions, Nature of Dye, Molecules in Motion, and Elements in Space. Attendees will receive giveaway bags with an issue of the children’s publication, Celebrating Chemistry, and other goodies.
