Bud Anderson, one of the most decorated fighter pilots from World War II, still likes to talk airplanes and fly like a 19-year-old. Following his 116 combat missions, Anderson directed flight testing during the Cold War and has logged over 7,500 flying hours in more than 130 types of aircraft. He is also the author of To Fly and Fight, described by a former Air Force historian as “the finest pilot memoir” of the era.
