This presentation will be webcast on Air and Space Live.
Join us for a conversation with former National Air and Space Museum curator and NASA chief historian Roger Launius, hosted by space history curator Margaret Weitekamp, about Launius's new book The Smithsonian History of Space Exploration: From the Ancient World to the Extraterrestrial Future. He will discuss the thousands of years that humans have endeavored to understand the universe and the future of space exploration, speculating on forthcoming space travel and humans' possible future as an extraterrestrial species.
After the remarks, Launius will be signing copies of the book, available for sale, outside the Moving Beyond Earth gallery.
