The Ask An Expert lecture series at the National Mall building is presented every Wednesday at noon. A Museum staff member talks to the public about the history, collection, or personalities related to a specific artifact or exhibition in the Museum.

Tickets will be distributed to visitors at the Museum seal in front of the Welcome Desk beginning at 10:15 a.m.

The Zeiss Vla in the center of the Einstein Planetarium projects about 8,900 stars, along with the Sun, Moon, five naked-eye planets, Milky Way, Magellanic Clouds, and the few other nebulous celestial objects visible to the unaided eye. It automatically reproduces the phasing of the Moon and can demonstrate lunar and solar eclipses and the precession of Earth's axis.
