Join us in commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II with family activities and a fly-in of history-making aircraft.

The noses of two World War II aircraft gleam in the sun as a line of visitors waits to explore them on the tarmac outside the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.

Outside - Free Tickets Required

See over 50 unique aircraft, including historic World War II aircraft. Talk with pilots of historic and modern aircraft, on display outside the Museum for one day only. 

Tickets available Tuesday, May 13 at 7:00 pm. 
Early access to tickets for members on Monday, May 12 at 8:00 am.

About the Aircraft

Due to their historic nature, several of the participating aircraft must follow visual flight rules, which require them to only fly in weather clear enough for the pilot to see the ground. In the event of inclement or cloudy weather, select aircraft may not be able to fly in. 

The photos and video of the aircraft on this page are from previous events and do not guarantee these particular aircraft will participate in this year's event.

Inclement Weather

If there is severe inclement weather, the outside portion of the event will be cancelled. The inside portion of the day will continue as planned. Updates will be posted here.
