    Staff use lifts to help secure the Bell X-1 before lowering it to the floor of the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall. The aircraft will be lowered and conserved as part of a larger project to renovate the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall in time for the Museums 40th anniversary in 2016.
