Michael Soluri
Giclée print from scanned black and white negative, Facilitated by an EIZO monitor and printed with a Canon iPF8400 on Moab Entrada rag white paper
2008
The Hubble’s exterior surface design includes 31 strategically placed slots for mounting the Portable Foot Restraint. The PFR provided astronauts with a stable worksite platform for service mission tasks. Michael Soluri photographed the PFR and many other Hubble EVA tools during his visits to the Goddard Space Flight Center, where most servicing training took place.
