The 2016 Vice Adm. Donald D. Engen Flight Jacket Night lecture featured astronaut and Coast Guard Captain Daniel C. Burbank in celebration of the Centennial of Coast Guard Aviation.

Burbank, the second Coast Guard astronaut, served as mission specialist on Space Shuttle missions STS-106 and STS-115, flight engineer on International Space Station Expedition 29, and commander of Expedition 30. During the 163 days aboard for ISS Expedition 29/30, Burbank and his crew completed dozens of repairs and enhancements to its systems. Burbank has logged a total of 188 days in space, with seven hours, 11 minutes of spacewalk time.
