Mars 2020 Landing Site: Jezero Crater

The Mars 2020 rover will land in Jezero crater on Mars and explore an ancient river delta and lake beds that may hold clues to past habitability and whether there was life on Mars. The colors represent differences in minerals exposed on and around the delta with include clays and carbonates that could be high priority targets for exploration by the rover.
