Paul E. Garber holds up a scale model of a plane beneath the nose of the Ryan NYP "Spirit of St Louis" (A19280021000) hanging on display in the Smithsonian Institution Arts & Industries Building, Washington, D.C.; circa 1928-1929. Garber was instrumental in acquiring Lindbergh’s plane for the Smithsonian.
