Roscoe Turner’s fame as a “speed king” transcended aviation into the popular culture of the 1930s. He joined baseball hero Babe Ruth, in the popular Sport Kings series of trading cards in 1933. This 1986 reprint of a Sport Kings Chewing Gum baseball card (No. 27, Roscoe Turner) was originally issued by The Goudey Gum Company in 1934.
