Civil War Balloon-Lincoln and Lowe

As part of the June 11th Family Day, "Mr. Lincoln's Air Force", a 19,000-cubic-foot, netted gas balloon was partially inflated on the National Mall. It was built in 1941 and is very similar in operation and size to the balloons used by Thaddeus Lowe.
