The Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum will be announcing a Grow Up Great with Science grant from the PNC Foundation that will support a partnership with the District of Columbia Public Schools to enhance early childhood science education.
At 10 a.m., “One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure,” a planetarium show developed by Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, for four- to six-year-olds featuring Big Bird and Elmo will have its East Coast premiere for a group of preschoolers and interested media. Reporters interested in one-on-one interviews with Elmo must call in advance. The show is sponsored by PNC as part of its Grow Up Great initiative.
