The museum is acquiring the Virgin Atlantic Global Flyer, which will taxi to its new home, the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, at the conclusion of its final flight ever. Plans call for the airplane to fly by the center before landing at adjacent Washington Dulles International Airport. A photo opportunity and interviews will be held at the Udvar-Hazy Center.

The arrival of the aircraft is contingent on weather and technical issues. If landing is not possible on Tuesday, May 23, the arrival will be rescheduled for Wednesday, May 24, at 1:15 p.m.
