Education Aerospace Educator in Residence
Bio

Andrew Elwood is the resident Aerospace Educator joining the National Air and Space Museum from Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). He works with school outreach, field trips, teacher professional development, and public programs.

Before joining the Museum team, Andrew taught middle school science and English language learners for over a decade. He has worked as his school’s choir accompanist, cross country coach, and Deep Equity Committee Lead.  

Andrew earned his Master’s degree in mass communication science from Middle Tennessee State University. He is a licensed instrument rated pilot currently working on his commercial certificate.
