Honored by:
Called to active duty November, 1942, age 19, in college and member of the Air Force Reserve.
Server in Italy with the 15th AAF, 774th Bomb. Sq., 463rd Bomb. Group, November 1945, with 55 missions in a B-17 crew as 1st Pilot. (& only one Purple Heart on our 10 man crew).
Was discharged soo after returning to USA, May, 1945, to finish college with wife and 3 month old daughter (with the aid of the G.I. Bill), and then to stay in aviation-related businesses thereafter.
My Air Force Reserve status was terminated April, 1953.
