    Ernest S. Brady enlisted in the USAAF on December 11, 1942 and was commissioned 2nd Lt on April 15, 1944.

    Lt Brady flew B-24 bombers with the 15th Air Force while stationed in Italy. He was a pilot with the 460th Bomb Group, 760th Bomb Squadron from November, 1944 until February, 1945. Lt Brady was shot down while flying his 10th mission over Germany on February 13, 1945 and was a prisoner of war until the end of the war. He was liberated by Patton's 7th Army.
