1st Lt. Okey soloed in a Piper-J-3 Cub on September 10, 1942.
Shortly thereafter he entered the U.S. Army, and served in North Africa, Italy, France and Japan as an Intelligence officer. He has owned several Cessna aircraft, and currently holds a private license for single engine airplanes, both land and sea. He is a member of the Ohio Bar, and as an attorney has been involved in aircraft litigation. His keen interest in Aviation has endured for sixty (60) years.
