    Honored by:
    Ms. Cecilia Mc Rae

Born March 27, 1922, George O’Rourke was always interested in aviation, and as a young man began taking private flying lessons. But before he could complete them, WWII broke out. So naturally, Mr. O’Rourke, joined the U. S. Air Force, which at the time was called the U.S. Army Air Corps. There he was trained as a pilot and bombardier and achieved the rank of 2nd Lt before being discharged in Nov. of 1945. His love of aviation, however, continued lifelong and provided many stories for his 10 children, 25 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Mr. O’Rourke died on June 9, kk2004 and this inscription honors his memory.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
