Lewis J. Dundon, 2nd Lt. Army Air Force, was killed in action on March 21, 1945 while flying a P-47 Thunderbolt over Asbach, Germany.
A member of the 492nd Fighter Squadron, 48th Fighter Group, it was his 28th combat mission.
Lt. Dundon was 22 years old.
