    Born 6 Mar 1924 and educated in Pasadena, CA. Enlisted USMC after Pearl Harbor. Assigned to Marine Air Corps, becoming an aerial photographer. Pilot training at Pensacola Naval Air Station, FL. graduating as a "Flying Sergeant" in 1943. Married Nancy Selleck of Pasadena, at Pensacola Navy Chapel, Sep. 1944. Commissioned, Feb. 1945. Trained at Pensacola / Jacksonville, FL, and Marine Air Base at El Toro, CA in dive and torpedo bombers. Served in the Pacific Theater until discharged after VE Day.
    Graduated from Occidental College, CA in 1949 (BA, Economics). At Caltech, pioneered in rocket trajectory and weapons effectiveness computations for the Office of Naval Research. At Fluor Corporation, developed advanced digital computer programs for engineering and contract-control standards. At NCR, pioneered in the use of computers to automate banking and fiscal operations. +
    A resident of Scripps Ranch Miramar, CA, he maintains a life-long interest in technology and in the advance of military and commercial flying, and is an avid tennis champion and ballroom dancer.
