    Enlisted in the Army Air Corps at Mitchell Field, N.Y. on 7 Nov, 1944. Completed Primary Flight training at Moton Field, Tuskegee, Ala. Entered Basic Flight training at TAAF. Released from active duty and discharged as an Aviation Cadet at Ft. Dix, N.J. on 7 Nov 1945.

    Entered Aeronautical Engineering program at the University of Southern California. Later transferred to University of California Berkeley completing a degree in Geology. Completed a PhD degree in Geology at the University of California Davis where I taught and did research for 25 years. Currently I am a Professor Emeritus at University of California Davis.

    Member of the G.S. "Spanky" Roberts Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. Served as Vice President and currently as Scholarship Chairman of the local Chapter and the National Scholarship Program. Am a Member of the Chapter Heritage Group that makes presentations to educational groups and service organizations and many other interested groups. The purpose of this is to tell the story of the Tuskegee Airmen.
