Albert spent four years in the Army Air Force during WWII. After completing weather school and flying school, be became a pilot. After completing weather school and flying school, he became pilot. His squadron tested (under the wing) rockets which proved to be extremely unreliable and dangerous. Many of his squad did not survive. He reached the rank of staff sergeant.
After his discharge he continued in his love of flying and airplanes.
Albert flew a mercy mission (during very bad weather conditions) to get medicine for a man in his squad. It was successful in saving that man’s life. He named three of his planes for me (his wife).
