Born in Manhattan, October 15, 1921
Enrolled in the Manhattan High School of Aviation at age 13
Began aviation engineering career with Glenn Martin Corp.
Enlisted in the US Army Air Corps during WWII
Completed courses in aerial gunnery and flight engineering, and was assigned to the crew of a B-24 Liberator, for duty in the China-Burma-India theatre of operations, as Flight Engineer
Achieved rank of Staff Sergeant
Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, and numerous other decorations
After being discharged, married Rose Marie Pitoscia in 1949
For over 30 years, until retirement, worked as a manufacturing engineer and consultant for Lockheed, Boeing, Curtiss-Wright and others, on projects involving aviation or commercial products
