    Albert Edward Getzendiner, Robert’s older brother, was directly connected with the Enola Gay B-29 bomber project. His Top Secret job was designing and implementing the electrical release mechanism for the first atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, on July 6, 1945, which ultimately led to the end of World War II with Japan.
