Born in Minneapolis, MN, on Nov. 25, 1923. Joined the Army Air Corps in 1940. Instructed B-29 Flight Engineering. Discharged from the Corps. As a First Lieutenant/Flight Engineer. Received a BA from University of Minnesota in 1948. Douglas Aircraft Co. in 1950 – 1960. Worked as a Stress Analyst on C-124 and RB66. Lockheed Missile and Space Co. 1960 – 1970 worked on Polaris, Poseidon, and Agena Missiles. Northrup Aircraft Co, 1970-1987. Worked on F-5E, F-18A, and Stealth Bomber.
