During my first-ever flight from Europe to America, in the fall of 1974, I became so impressed with the Boeing 747 jetliner on which I traveled that it ignited my plan to become an engineer and to, some day, work for the Boeing Company, developing such technical marvels. That dream came true -- at Boeing -- and the dream persists to today, 24 May 1999.
